Uber has announced a strategic investment in Israeli drone company Flytrex, one of only four companies worldwide authorized by the FAA to operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone deliveries.
The investment will enable Flytrex to launch autonomous drone delivery services on the Uber Eats platform in the United States by the end of the year and to expand its workforce in Israel and the U.S significantly.
