Profile

Menachem is a partner in the Litigation department and handles complex civil and commercial disputes and lawsuits, with special emphasis on class actions on a variety of issues, including commercial disputes and property, antitrust, insurance, agriculture and construction claims. Other areas in which Menachem specializes are land law, corporate law, corporate recovery, liquidation and receivership.

Menachem has to his credit rich and varied experience in representing clients in litigation cases. He is a certified mediator and represents large, leading companies and entrepreneurs in complex legal disputes in the different courts, and before arbitrators and mediators. Menachem advises some of Israel’s largest companies that are under threat of lawsuits and class actions, and provides legal advice on how to avoid being sued in a class action lawsuit.

Of the many key cases in which Menachem has – and continues to be involved in, the following are worth particular mention: Representing one of the largest Israeli banks in an insurance related class action in the amount of one billion shekels; representing a municipal company in a precedential class action concerning pollution of water sources; representing a large commercial company in a claim for a sum of hundreds of millions of shekels concerning “green” representations which were claimed to be untrue (“Greenwash”); management of the liquidation of the largest conglomeration of metal companies in Israel, with alleged debts of more than one billion shekels; representing a number of commercial companies in class actions filed against them for hundreds of millions of shekels; representing municipal companies in several class actions concerning environmental issues, and more.
