Yonatan is a partner in EBN’s Capital Markets and Securities Department.
Yonatan specializes in corporate and securities law and has extensive experience in capital markets regulation and financial regulation.
Yonatan specializes in advising public companies regarding their transactions with interested parties, remuneration and compensation of senior executives (D&O), board composition, control struggles and more.
Furthermore, Yonatan’s practice focuses on ongoing counsel to public companies, including on public offerings aspects and M&A, and on advice concerning securities regulation and corporate governance. Yonathan also handles litigation cases in these fileds of practice.
Representative Experience
- Advises Blue Square Real Estate LTD ongoingly on its corporate and securities law matters.
- Advised Blue Square Real Estate LTD in its private placement of bonds (series H) by way of an expansion of the series coupled with pledged assets.
- Advised a significant shareholder in a publicly traded company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in a control dispute with the company’s management.
- Advising Isracard Ltd., Israel’s largest credit card company, on a merger agreement for its acquisition by Harel Insurance Services and Financial Investments Ltd., Israel’s largest insurance group, for a consideration of approximately NIS 3.3 billion.
- Representing Yahoo in a long-term commercial agreement and issuance of 24.99% in Taboola shares traded on NASDAQ.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Yonathan served as Director of Corporate Governance, Director of Dual Listed Companies and Senior Attorney at the corporate finance department of the Israel securities. In these roles he was responsible for ongoing regulatory oversight of public companies and formulating the positions of the ISA on issues related to issuance processes, corporate governance, stakeholder’s transactions, executive remuneration and more.
Yonathan was a member of the Israeli Government teams that promoted legislative amendments and regulatory provisions, regarding corporate government, Complex financial instruments (such as Securitization hybrid bonds) and more. He has also served as the director of the “35+ Forum” project for promoting diversity on the boards of directors of public companies in Israel. Between 2018-2014, Yonatan served as a senior legal adviser and intern at the Israeli Supreme Court, in the chambers of the hon. judges Prof. Yoram Danziger and Zvi Zilbertal.
