EBN’s Dispute Resolution Department has extensive experience in representing clients in complex and large-scale derivative actions, particularly in the fields of corporate law and securities regulation.
The department also has experience in representing and advising special litigation committees established by companies to evaluate and manage derivative claims.
• Representing controlling shareholders and officers of the IDB Group in five separate motions for approval of derivative actions for an aggregate amount of over NIS 2 billion.
• Representing Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma, Israel’s second-largest retail chain, in a motion for pre-action discovery filed by shareholders of Cofix, as well as in a motion for approval of a derivative action concerning the acquisition of Israir Airlines.
• Providing legal counsel to an independent litigation committee established by the Strauss Group to examine potential derivative claims against company officers in connection with the Salmonella contamination incident at one of the company’s production facilities.
• Representing current and former officers of Polygon Real Estate Ltd. in a motion for approval of a derivative action filed against them.
• Representing Sano, a leading Israeli manufacturer, in a motion for pre-action discovery prior to filing a derivative action.
• Representing an independent litigation committee established by Bezeq, and later representing Bezeq itself, in a motion for approval of a derivative action and a related motion for pre-action discovery.
